My Health Journey
I have always found my joy in the kitchen, but also understanding how ingredients work together to comply a great dish. This is how my journey started as a chef to understand the different applications of cooking and how different flavours compliment one another.
I became very ill during my second year of culinary school due to an auto-immune disease. I lost a lot of weight and had a lot of deficiencies, which led to a gluten free diet to improve my over all gut health. Once diagnosed, I was obsessed with nutrition and what your body needs to fully function and absorb nutrients such as Iron which my body was depleted from. This is also how my love for gluten free baking and healthy treats started. I am a sweet tooth like the rest of my family and still craved indulgent treats, but wanted to make them guilt free without taking away from the flavour and taste of something satisfying and decadent.
It has been 9 years since I have made better nutritious choices and applied a gluten-free more plant-based diet to my lifestyle. This has changed my whole life drastically to improved hormonal balance, no nutrient deficiency (perfect blood results), healthy skin and hair, sufficient energy for exercise, better sleep quality and a healthier weight.
I am not here to advocate any kind of diet or form of eating, but want to provide advice and tips to improve better eating habits, more nutritious meals and to give you an opportunity to get to know what works for your body and routine. This is your food journey and hopefully I can inspire you to enjoy food for what it is and have a healthy relationship with the way you eat and enjoy food with family. Life is too short to live a life without the happiness of what food can bring to the table.

Experiences and qualifications
