Salted Coconut Caramel Sauce

Ingredients

200 g Coconut sugar

100 ml of water

1 tbsp Coconut oil

½ tsp Unrefined salt

1 tbsp of Coconut yogurt

Method

  1. Add water and coconut sugar to a frying pan or small pot and heat over medium heat and stir sugar until dissolved.

  2. Heat mixture for 3-4 min until thickens make sure that you watch the mixture to prevent sugar from burning.

  3. Once the mixture reaches the soft bowl stage (when swirling the pan around clockwise a bowl shape forms on top), add coconut oil and whisk the mixture.

  4. Then add your coconut yogurt and salt and whisk until combined. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

Can be used on a variety of dishes as an optional healthy seasoning.
